Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Ruedihuus, das Hotel und das Zimmer waren äußerst gemütlich – Antiquitätenliebhaber werden begeistert sein! Das Personal war überaus freundlich, es gibt ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und zum Abendessen gibt es traditionelle Speisen (Raclette, Fondue, Rösti). Im Winter gibt es dort, wo das Hotel liegt, nicht allzu viel Sonne, dafür liegt man etwas abseits vom Zentrum, wo es herrlich ruhig ist. Großes Plus: Shuttle-Service vom Bahnhof bei Anreise mit der Bahn.

Dieses historische Hotel liegt wunderschön in einer wunderschönen Landschaft umgeben von Bergen. Die Fassade ist aufwendig mit Gemälden und einzigartigen Flaschenglasfenstern verziert. Das Essen ist sehr schweizerisch - viel Käse und Fleisch. Es lohnt sich, die Gerstensuppe, das Fondue oder Raclette und das hausgemachte Dessert „Vacherin“ zu probieren. Das Ambiente ist besonders im Winter warm und gemütlich. Der Service war zwar etwas langsam, aber es ist ein Ort, an dem man nicht unter Zeitdruck steht.

Cannot speak to the hotel experience as we only stopped in for dinner. In comparison to other restaurants in Kandersteg this one provided the most food and quality. The sausage, onion gravy and rosti were delicious. My wife had the chicken breast and a friend had the steak and said it was excellent as well.

Good location and authentic. Access to the spa and sauna at the hotel across the road was key for us. Not many people stayed in our building and the breakfast was a bit lacking.
