Highly recommended for families with children. The cable cars are very varied, the hiking trail is attractive and not too long. Only one cable car didn't work right away for us. There are some very nice constructions, and the 5 CHF are well spent. So definitely check it out if you get the chance. You can also enjoy the views along the way.

Discovering the Chugeli Trail in Aeschi near Spiez Having been alerted by an information sign at the roadside, I embarked on this adventure on April 5, 2025. Arrival and Start: * Parking: The large parking lot (PP) at the starting point (covered bus stop) offers ample space for cars. * Trail Map: The trail map, which you can take with you, is located in the small building by the bus stop. * Chugeli Vending Machine: A Chugeli ball costs CHF 5.- to purchase from the vending machine. The Trail: * Description: The trail is very well described. * Safety: Warnings are posted at points where caution is advised (e.g., due to drops). * Motivation: Our children (4 and 2 years old) were thrilled with the Chugeli train and motivated to walk from station to station. Steerability: * Note: According to the trail map, the trail is not suitable for strollers (some sections are inconvenient). * Experience: We tried it with the stroller anyway, but were prepared to turn back. It's really not ideal for small babies in strollers, as the path is uneven and can be quite bumpy. (Tracks 1-6) * Challenges: With our stroller with large wheels, we had to lift it over cattle grids in some places, requiring two people. The path to tracks 7 and 8 goes steeply uphill and then steeply downhill again. An alternative for those with a stroller would be to skip tracks 7 and 8 and walk along the road from track 6 to tracks 9 and 10.

A very varied and enjoyable walk from Aeschiried to Aeschi. Along the way, there are 10 courses offering a wide range of experiences. The necessary wooden ball can be purchased for CHF 5 from a vending machine right at the start (only 5-franc coins are accepted!). The walk takes approximately 2 hours and is not suitable for strollers.

Unfortunately, all the lanes are riddled with defects. On Chicken Run, we even had to use a branch to retrieve our 5th ball. It urgently needs improvement. Lane 2 doesn't even exist.

Great offer for children from about three years old. Be sure to take the flyer with you for information.
