Hertz Autovermietung, Bern — Kochergasse, Casinopl. 1, 3011 Bern, Switzerland

I rented a car from Hertz at Zurich Airport and returned it without any visible damage. I dropped the car off at the Hertz office in Bern. However, I was charged 170 CHF for a wheel cover damage I did not cause. I’ve rented cars in many countries around the world and this is the first time I’ve faced such a situation. I hope Hertz investigates this issue and refunds any mistaken charges. I have already contacted customer service and am waiting for a proper response. Transparency and fairness are important — especially for international travelers. I appreciate the reply to my review, but no actual help or resolution has been provided. I’ve sent emails as advised but received no response. My issue remains unresolved. Very disappointed.

Very disappointing! Yesterday, I returned the rented car to the Hertz location in Bern, and because the office was closed, I dropped off the keys in a secure locker. Today, I received an email stating that a company representative noticed small damage to the wheel cover. That damage was so minor that I hadn't realized it existed until I received that email. I went to the Hertz office (where I booked and dropped off the car), and I asked a company representative to point out the damage to the car. The damage was so minor that even the company representative who tried to show it to me could barely find it. As per the email I received, I will be charged 350 CHF for this damage, which is literally unacceptable, especially that 350 CHF is an upper limit in case of small damages! I rent cars very often and have rented cars in many countries but this is the first time I’ve encountered such unfair treatment. That's definitely my last experience with that location and Hertz company. Never again

Best RENTAL in BERN. FORGET OTHER REVIEWS just go and talk to this fine team. Totally Good, understanding, helpful, customer friendly and good priced. Between Me and my family we tried them all after living in Bern for 26 years. Hertz we love you. Thanks to Mr. Eggerten and Mr. Tsaug.

Be very careful of this Hertz rental location. Although we took pictures and videos they said we made a minuscule scratch to one of the tire rims and we owed them 350+ Swiss Francs! We rented the car for 8 hours and did no damage to the car. This seems to be a way for them to get more money from their customers. Please do not trust this rental location. We refused to pay and will fight this unfair business practice. Please note that the terms and conditions you supply excludes charging me for "fair wear and tear". This clearly falls under fair wear and tear. No customer should be charged for this.

I did not rent from this location but I did drop off my car here. Dropped off the car after-hours. Left the keys in the lockbox. Next day I got an email with the receipt and all was well. The drop off location is inside the underground parking lot. Not easy to find but trust the GPS. There is also a gas station inside the parking garage, which makes refueling super convenient.

+50% more expensive than competitors for no reason. Had to put the child seat in the car myself. Tank not 100% full at pickup and charged full tank. I just thought i tried... never again i hope.
