Arrived yesterday planning to just head up to Jungfraujoch, but decided to stop into the Rent Network and was attended to brilliantly by Romy. We were total beginners and didn't know what to expect, but she introduced the beginner sleds to us, taught us patiently on how to utilise the sled (which feet to move left/right, etc), and even tied the laces on our boots for us. We ended up having a fantastic time on Mannlichen with a once-in-a-lifetime sledding experience. Thank you Romy, you made it a fantastic trip to the ski hills for us! FYI: It's 19CHF rental for each pair of boots and another 19CHF for each sled!
Rent: ski + shoes + sticks - Intermediate Price: 155chf for 2 days Material was of good quality, I'm satisfied with that part. Service / Welcoming: depends on who's taking charge of you! Some good, some disappointing... Price: yes it s at the Terminal, but still expensive (same price as the ski pass!)
I had a disappointing experience at Intersport Terminal in Grindelwald. I clearly asked for economy skis for beginners, priced at 45 CHF, as it was my very first day skiing. When they gave me the skis, I told them that they seemed far too big for me as a beginner, as they were much taller than my height. The staff assured me that they were “definitely fine” for me. However, without informing me, they actually gave me premium skis, priced at 60 CHF, which were clearly meant for advanced skiers, not for a beginner on their first day. When I arrived at the cashier, the total amount was 95 CHF. I paid in euros, and the normal conversion should have been around 102 €, but I was charged 115 € instead. I find this practice misleading and unprofessional. I strongly recommend being very careful with both the equipment you are given and the final amount you are charged at Intersport stores in Switzerland.
We were given skis that wouldn't bind to the boots, no matter how hard we stepped on the ski. We showed a middle aged man in a Stöckli sweater that the skis didn't bind, and he said "too bad, goodbye" and shooed us away.
We rented an e-mountain bike, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The staff member who assisted us was not only friendly but also highly professional, taking the time to explain the features of the bike and offering helpful tips for our route. The equipment was in excellent condition, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride through the trails. We felt well taken care of and appreciated the attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the area on a quality e-bike with top-notch service.
I hired skis for a day. The shop is in a great location at the bottom of two ski lifts. The equipment is a little bit expensive but well maintained. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They were very understanding when we had to return the skis to a different intersport shop due to having an injury on the slopes.
