For our wedding in 2014, we had a ring made at Frieden in Thun. Although I only wear it occasionally, it broke a while ago on the inside of my hand. One would expect that a reputable and long-established jeweler would offer free repairs of their own handmade jewelry as part of their service. But not at Frieden. Initially, they wanted to charge me 204 Swiss francs for this service. Ultimately, Frieden charged me 160 Swiss francs. If I had known this before dropping off the ring, I wouldn't have made the trip from Bern to Thun. They didn't mention these costs when I dropped off the ring, or even that this "service" wasn't free. I would have at least expected this, since they told us at the time of purchase that we could come in anytime if there was a problem with the ring. All in all: poor service, poor advice, and as a customer, I simply feel ripped off. Never again!!
