I only ate in the restaurant but this is an amazing place and well worth the stop. Right on the road to Interlaken, with fairy lights which makes the Gasthaus look so magical at night. Service was welcoming and the waitresses so friendly. Food came very quickly too. The menu is also interesting, not just the usual Swiss fare but with unusual slants on some of them eg. Different flavours of Flammkuchen, homemade vegi burger, deer burger, sweet potato fries etc. Prices are normal for Swiss restaurants. I wish we could have stayed in the rooms here overnight, the decor of the Gasthaus is wooden but modern, clean, and wonderfully fragrant throughout. I’ll definitely not hesitate to come again.
Excellent location, but not warm welcome and disappointing rooms. Very basic, primitive almost, inadequate lighting, little furniture. Breakfast limited, portions counted out and served individually. Eggs not available until 0900 as there's no-one in the kitchen until then. But restaurant meal and service on previous evening was excellent.
Only here to eat. Food and service was great. The view on a sunny day is lovely. Also, we were able to charge our car for free (11kW).
A bit pricy but you are paying for an excellent stay. The breakfast was great, the room with the loft for the children was fun for them, and the view you wake up to? Nothing short of fantastic! Seeing the mountains across the valley with a few waterfalls cascading down was breathtaking. The staff was very nice, the food options are delish, rooms comfortable and clean. Also there is ample parking which is monitored by video. There was also motorcycle/bicycle parking in the front, as well as electric car charging spots.
This hotel is impressive for several reasons, the first being its beautiful location high up in the mountains, surrounded by waterfalls and offering stunning views. The rooms are very well maintained, clean, and cozy. It has ample parking (be careful when entering and exiting, as it is next to a busy road). The bathroom is shared but was very clean and well maintained. There are not many rooms, so fewer people will use the bathroom. The bathroom has a lock, the shower is very good, and so are the other amenities. The room has a little bit of everything, is well heated, and is very comfortable to sleep in. Towels, a hair dryer, etc. are provided. Please note that the hotel does not have an elevator, and check-in is done in the restaurant. (This is not a criticism, just information.) In conclusion: I recommend staying at this hotel. It offers good value for money, everything is well maintained, clean, and cozy, with wonderful views. Overall, everything is very good. We would definitely stay here again.
Some of the servers at the restaurant were rude, but the kind older woman who worked during breakfast was incredibly friendly. Five stars just because of her.
