Very nice outside "showroom", presenting the different colors and shapes of their natural stone selection. We went to Atlas after recommendation of a gardening contractor and even unannounced, we were promptly offered a great and helpful service from one of their employees. I recommend to look at the stones on a mixed day (rain and sun) to see the difference when they are wet and dry.

About eight years ago, we decided to modernize our patio and chose the beautiful Kanfanar natural stone in beige. It also comes in a grayish tone! One of the salesman's selling points was a phrase I'll never forget. It sounded so wonderful to me that it sparked a strong desire in me! This Kanfanar natural stone cleans itself! How wonderful that sounded...and by the way, salesmen still use that phrase today! I really wonder...what kind of sales school teaches that?! Anyway...as soon as I step onto the patio...and look at the stone when it's wet...I get nauseous! And it happens every single time the ground is wet! As someone with an eye for aesthetics, it's awful! Of course, you can clean this stone. I had a specialist company come out and demonstrate this on a roughly 2 square meter area. The cost... around CHF 1300-1500 for 70 square meters! I had hired the company... however, I probably would have had to replace all the surrounding plants. Using bleach in the soil... no way! My wife would never have allowed that. Well... simply put, if I had known back then that this stone would deteriorate so horribly and ugly, I certainly would never have chosen it for renovation. Who creates problems for themselves in the future and then spends a lot of money on them? The company made a profit... so what? I could clean the terrace with a pressure washer now... in a year, I'd be facing the exact same dilemma. They forgot to install the self-cleaning system in the stone! LOL Additionally: the floor tiles were, of course, cleaned every two years with gentle floor tile cleaning agents as best as possible. We don't approve of the highly toxic cleaning products recommended by the Atlas natural stone specialist dealer, which are supposed to be used exclusively with thick rubber gloves!
