This tradesman is not recommended! Last summer, we had a mosquito net installed on our Velux roof window. Since he advertises himself as a Velux representative, we thought we were in good hands. After a few weeks, the net was already broken. Mr. Surber replaced it. Unfortunately, this time it didn't last either. After the third repair, he claimed it was a material defect and said he would call the main Velux office in Zurich. He said they would install a new one under warranty. We constantly had to call back until the tradesmen finally arrived. They couldn't even replace the mosquito net properly because Mr. Surber hadn't installed the entire frame correctly! Screws and washers were missing, the whole frame was warped, and our wooden ceiling was damaged. Afterward, we wanted a partial refund, but Mr. Surber didn't respond to our letters or phone calls. We had to hire a new tradesman who was able to fix the damage. Conclusion: Mr. Surber is a terrible tradesman!
We've been using this established family business for renovations and interior work (paneling, attic conversions, insulation, etc.) as well as new construction for three generations now.
