A rare and unpleasant situation arose during a car purchase. After exchanging emails and phone calls, and arranging the registration transfer with my insurance company and the funds transfer with my bank, by the time I went to pick up the vehicle, it had already been sold. The reception was appalling; they hung up on me. The next day, I received a weak apology email claiming that our numerous exchanges had "disappeared" into spam. An email can disappear, but not an entire conversation, as everyone knows. I strongly recommend taking extra care to secure your transactions with this unscrupulous seller.
