We showed up spontaneously hoping there would be a room for the night. Luckily there was and we had the place to ourselves. Jan was very kind and helpful, showed us where to go and gave tips for next morning’s hike. He organized breakfast to go and saw us off at 7 the next morning. We had such a good time that we decided to stay another night and lucked out with the place to ourselves again. The location of the place is perfect, next to the little lake and with natural views. Private but central. We enjoyed our dinner there with great local wine. We recommend, would love to visit again. Thank you!
This was one of my favorite places in Switzerland! The owner Romy was so sweet and kind! She cooked us dinner herself and it was the best food we had in Switzerland! Breakfast was also delicious and had many different options. I think the bread and other pastries at breakfast were freshly baked by Romy that morning! We had to leave early to catch a train and she was very accommodating with the breakfast time too which was so kind! The beds were big and comfortable with the biggest, fluffiest comforters! We were treated so well, I felt like we were true guests at the guesthouse! We couldn’t stop talking about the guesthouse after we left! The entire place seemed recently renovated and the bathrooms and showers were very nice! Stoos was very cute and we loved the ridge hike even though it was foggy and couldn’t see much. It snowed up there in early September! We couldn’t pay via bank transfer due to my bank fees but she let us pay with card when we got there! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Stoos! Thank you so much for everything we loved our stay!
I had a really good stay at Gasthaus Bergsonne. Ofcourse the location is perfect, but also the Gasthaus was really nice! Soft beds and a thick blanket. And in the morning an amazing breakfast! The owner is really nice, eventhough it was difficult for me to communicate in German, we both tried so it was good. I would come again and recommend.
Extremely slow and rather small portions. It wasn't even particularly full when we arrived, still we waited more than 20 minutes to get the menus and another hour for our food. It also looked like they had forgotten about the order for our daughter which they then prepared...
It's a great location but very old. The owners of this house were funny and if you can speak German you'll be fine! If you don't speak German, the communication can be difficult.
The best Cordon Bleu we ever ate!
