Le truc était charmant, à venir même si nous étions en retard et que la cuisine était sur le point de fermer. |Nous avons mangé une soupe aux champignons et le meilleur Spätzle que j'ai jamais mangé. La nourriture était dans l’ensemble incroyablement délicieuse, fraîche et savoureuse. |Je recommande fortement ce restaurant si vous êtes dans les environs.

Just wanted to say that we enjoyed a very nice Sunday lunch today at the Gasthof Lowen in Melchnau. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves the traditional large Bernese portions, so a half portion starter is advised!

Hotel is new and very clean, Restaurant is superb. Basic rooms with facilities and free WIFI. Owner-operators are very friendly and hospitable. ||||Melchnau is in the middle of nowhere, abould half way between Basel and Lucerne. Not on main roads. Use a GPS to get there.
