Questa è stata la nostra prima via ferrata ed è stata assolutamente indimenticabile! Il percorso è davvero divertente e vario, con tanti tratti diversi da apprezzare. L'abbiamo scelto per una gita di un giorno e siamo rimasti più che soddisfatti. Dato che siamo principianti, ci sono volute circa tre ore, muovendoci lentamente e immergendoci nella bellezza della natura. C'erano alcuni alpinisti esperti che correvano come se fosse un allenamento, ma noi ci siamo presi il nostro tempo e abbiamo apprezzato ogni minuto. I panorami sono stupendi e ci sono molti posti sicuri dove fermarsi per scattare foto. Abbiamo noleggiato la nostra attrezzatura in città, che costava meno che all'Intersport vicino al sentiero. L'ho fatto con le scarpe da ginnastica, senza guanti e non ho avuto alcun problema. Era una giornata calda (26°C) con tratti del sentiero al sole e altri all'ombra. Assicurati di portare abbastanza acqua e goditi l'avventura!
Mi è piaciuta molto questa Via Ferrata! Era il nostro primo (ma siamo escursionisti esperti): sicuramente non abbiamo bisogno di una guida. Puoi noleggiare la tua attrezzatura da un negozio locale a Murren, noi abbiamo alloggiato in un hotel a Murren quindi era a 5 minuti a piedi dal negozio. Abbiamo noleggiato l'attrezzatura (consigliamo se non hai lo spazio per mettere in valigia l'attrezzatura da trekking). Era una giornata bellissima e sul sentiero c'erano solo poche persone. Consiglio di andare presto, aprono alle 9:00. Credo che smettano di noleggiare l'attrezzatura alle 14-15, quindi pianifica in anticipo. Solo poche coppie ci precedono e ci lasciano passare senza problemi. I vantaggi di andare da soli senza guida turistica sono andare al proprio ritmo, scattare foto, ecc. Non abbiamo dovuto aspettare in fila sul sentiero. Tre sezioni mi hanno fatto tremare le gambe e battere il cuore. Sei IN ALTO. Non far cadere il telefono. Lo consiglio vivamente!
Da dove comincio…. Quindi ho accettato di farlo quando i ragazzi dell'ostello in cui alloggiavo mi hanno chiesto di andare con loro. Stavo viaggiando da solo in Svizzera. Non avevo mai avuto esperienze di arrampicata su roccia prima. Ma lo sapevo, volevo davvero farlo per sfidare me stesso. Questa è stata senza dubbio la cosa che ho preferito che abbia mai fatto quando avevo vent'anni. Che esperienza incredibile che ricorderò per il resto della mia vita. La sensazione che ho provato appeso al fianco di quella montagna a 2000 piedi di altezza è stata una sensazione senza eguali. Ero così nervoso ma non mi sono mai sentito più vivo e libero! Il finale con il ponte sospeso traballante è stata la parte più spaventosa di tutto. Nessuna guida turistica, solo vibrazioni e i ragazzi dell'ostello che ho incontrato che mi hanno incoraggiato e aiutato ad arrivare al traguardo. Dicono che le migliori avventure della tua vita accadono quando esci dalla tua zona di comfort. Sono sicuramente felice di essere uscito dal mio guscio. Questa Via Ferrata ha dimostrato questo e altro ancora! I panorami e le vibrazioni erano incredibili. Qualcosa a cui sarò sempre orgoglioso di guardare indietro quando sarò vecchio. Lo consiglio al 100% a tutti gli amanti dell'avventura là fuori.
Very well made via ferrata. The views were excellent. I took the first cable car trip and there was only one other person on the trail. Just a tip: make sure your things are secured in your pack because it is a long drop down
A long via ferrata following the side of the cliff from Mürren to Gimmelwald. The approach is very easy. Right from the Intersport shop where you can rent your gear if needed, heading south, there are signs indicating the short 3-minute walk to the ferrata entrance. During the ferrata, you'll find yourself hiking through the forest more often than climbing the ferrata. Overall, the climbs are quite easy, but in some sections, you will be exposed to the full 600m drop bellow you. Along the ferrata, there are 3 different bridges, with its most popular one near the end. There are also many ladders scattered throughout, and some sections that cross over waterfalls. This ferrata is just under 2 km long, and takes about 1h30-2h depending on your speed. However, because of its length, as a faster climber myself, it is very likely you will catch up to other climbers (or others catch up to you) since there is only one way. Most of the time, there is room for climbers to pass others, but stay mindful of the other climbers as for many this is their first via ferrata. The ferrata exits in the town of Gimmelwald. There are no water fountains there in case you were hoping to fill up bottles just as we were. If you were to hike back to Mürren, it takes about 40 minutes, uphill, on well paved roads. I don’t belive a guide is necessary even if this is your first via ferrata. The climb is pretty easy and well traveled. The only difficulty would be the height and duration. The Intersport store does have an instructional video about the ferrata if you're new to it. This is a great via ferrata for anyone including beginners. Beautiful scenery of the valley and the mountains.
Absolutely loved this whole experience! Went with my brother, and it was a bit of a hastle because we needed to sign all kinds of forms because I’m underage and without my parents, but the staff was so nice and pleasant to communicate with! I was a bit scared it was going to be cancelled because of the weather, so be prepared of that and if possible, don’t plan it on your last day of the trip! But we got the okay, and we were almost the only ones on the route that day, so it was extra fun because there was no waiting! Really recommend this adventure!
