¡Esta fue nuestra primera vía ferrata y fue absolutamente inolvidable! La ruta es realmente divertida y variada, con muchos tramos diferentes para disfrutar. Lo elegimos para una excursión de un día y quedamos más que satisfechos. Como somos principiantes, nos llevó unas tres horas, moviéndonos lentamente y absorbiendo la hermosa naturaleza. Hubo algunos escaladores experimentados que pasaron corriendo como si fuera un entrenamiento, pero nos tomamos nuestro tiempo y disfrutamos cada minuto. Las vistas son impresionantes y hay muchos lugares seguros para detenerse a tomar fotografías. Alquilamos nuestro equipo en la ciudad, que era más barato que en el Intersport cerca del sendero. Lo hice con zapatillas, sin guantes y no tuve ningún problema. Era un día caluroso (26°C) con partes del sendero al sol y otras a la sombra. ¡Asegúrate de llevar suficiente agua y simplemente disfruta de la aventura!
¡Me encantó esta Vía Ferrata! Fue el primero (pero somos excursionistas experimentados); definitivamente no necesitamos una guía. Puedes alquilar tu equipo en una tienda local en Murren. Nos alojamos en un hotel en Murren, por lo que estaba a 5 minutos a pie de la tienda. Alquilamos el equipo (lo recomendamos si no tiene espacio para empacar el equipo de caminata). Era el día más hermoso y solo había unas pocas personas en el camino. Recomiendo ir temprano, abren a las 9 am. Creo que dejan de alquilar equipo entre las 2 y las 3 de la tarde, así que planifique con anticipación. Sólo unas pocas parejas nos adelantan y nos dejan pasar sin problema. Los beneficios de ir solo sin guía turístico son ir a su propio ritmo y tomar fotografías, etc. No tuvimos que hacer cola en el camino. Tres secciones hicieron que mis piernas temblaran y mi corazón se acelerara. Estás ALTO. No dejes caer tu teléfono. ¡¡Muy recomendable!!
¿Por dónde empiezo…? Así que acepté hacer esto cuando los chicos del albergue en el que me alojaba me pidieron que fuera con ellos. Estaba viajando solo por Suiza. Nunca antes tenía experiencia en escalada en roca. Pero lo sabía, realmente quería hacerlo para desafiarme a mí mismo. Esta fue sin duda lo que más me gustó que hice cuando tenía 20 años. Qué experiencia tan increíble que recordaré por el resto de mi vida. La sensación que tuve colgando de la ladera de esa montaña a 2000 pies de altura en el aire fue una sensación como ninguna otra. ¡Estaba tan nerviosa pero nunca me había sentido más viva y libre! El final con el puente colgante tembloroso fue la parte más aterradora de todo. No hay guías turísticos, solo vibraciones y los chicos del albergue que conocí animándome y ayudándome a llegar a la meta. Dicen que las mejores aventuras de tu vida suceden cuando sales de tu zona de confort. Estoy seguro de haber salido de mi caparazón. ¡Esta Vía Ferrata demostró eso y más! Las vistas y las vibraciones eran increíbles. Algo de lo que siempre estaré orgulloso de recordar cuando sea mayor. 100% lo recomiendo a todos los buscadores de aventuras.
Very well made via ferrata. The views were excellent. I took the first cable car trip and there was only one other person on the trail. Just a tip: make sure your things are secured in your pack because it is a long drop down
A long via ferrata following the side of the cliff from Mürren to Gimmelwald. The approach is very easy. Right from the Intersport shop where you can rent your gear if needed, heading south, there are signs indicating the short 3-minute walk to the ferrata entrance. During the ferrata, you'll find yourself hiking through the forest more often than climbing the ferrata. Overall, the climbs are quite easy, but in some sections, you will be exposed to the full 600m drop bellow you. Along the ferrata, there are 3 different bridges, with its most popular one near the end. There are also many ladders scattered throughout, and some sections that cross over waterfalls. This ferrata is just under 2 km long, and takes about 1h30-2h depending on your speed. However, because of its length, as a faster climber myself, it is very likely you will catch up to other climbers (or others catch up to you) since there is only one way. Most of the time, there is room for climbers to pass others, but stay mindful of the other climbers as for many this is their first via ferrata. The ferrata exits in the town of Gimmelwald. There are no water fountains there in case you were hoping to fill up bottles just as we were. If you were to hike back to Mürren, it takes about 40 minutes, uphill, on well paved roads. I don’t belive a guide is necessary even if this is your first via ferrata. The climb is pretty easy and well traveled. The only difficulty would be the height and duration. The Intersport store does have an instructional video about the ferrata if you're new to it. This is a great via ferrata for anyone including beginners. Beautiful scenery of the valley and the mountains.
Absolutely loved this whole experience! Went with my brother, and it was a bit of a hastle because we needed to sign all kinds of forms because I’m underage and without my parents, but the staff was so nice and pleasant to communicate with! I was a bit scared it was going to be cancelled because of the weather, so be prepared of that and if possible, don’t plan it on your last day of the trip! But we got the okay, and we were almost the only ones on the route that day, so it was extra fun because there was no waiting! Really recommend this adventure!
