Tutti i pasti erano deliziosi. Sono incredibilmente grato a tutti all’ospedale Zollikerberg.

Thinking is required and sometimes mercy before justice It’s a beautiful hospital maybe with the best nurses ( Hebamme, Pflegekraft, Krankenschwester) (80 %) Some points for feedback to improve customer / patients experience: -good hospital food - price for parking when you want to see your baby 36 CHF for 17 hours - duty roster > health or patients wish - some doctors need soft skill training F.e German Dr of anesthesia asking why you want caesarean section Training needed or different mindset needed - maternity department is a lot of space to improve Important father is not the five wheel on the car is the father of the baby A father is not a visitor !! To bounded as a family you have only this special time Policy > then family bounding A mother or a father don’t need to justify for anything !!! Some nurses need also training for this. Pls take this points for improvement we don’t want to thing anymore about these …..

Our second baby was born here. I guess if we plan to have other kids, this will be the obvious hospital preference for us. All people working here have the utmost professionalism without sacrifing on the friendliness. Birth room offers a variety of options including a tub. Midwifes are making the birth process a breeze for mothers and fathers. The rooms are spacious and opens up to a nice garden for the piece of mind, when you need it. Very highly recommended. Thanks for spending the effort to provide a high quality and enjoyable experience.

After a year. i finally found the strength to write about my traumatic experience at this hospital. My water broke and after contractions started I went there and clearly stated in writing and orally that I wanted to give birth with pain relief (an epidural). Despite this, I laboured for 12–13 hours without any pain relief, reaching 8 cm dilation before the epidural was finally placed. The doctor who performed it, she did not speak English, did not explain the procedure, and showed no empathy. I experienced sudden, sharp pain in my spine and chest without any warning. She just told the midwife to translate to me that "i had to stay still". The epidural never worked properly, as i was informed the next day — half of my body was warm, the other half cold and i was clearly in pain. She noticed the problem during labour, but no correction was made by the doctor. I was into labour for 20 hours, the last two hours of labour were unbearable. I was exhausted, in extreme pain, and they were just telling me to “push” harder. While my baby’s pulse began to rise dangerously the room became tense, and two very junior doctors were called in. Without consent, they performed an episiotomy and delivered my baby with a ventouse, leaving both me and my husband in shock and distress. Afterwards, the more junior doctor — guided by the slightly older one — spent 40 minutes(!) stitching me while I was still in pain feeling everything. Only at the very end did she ask IF I needed local anaesthesia(!) Most midwives and nurses at the afterbirth ward were also a nightmare. Lack of empathy, unnecessary hard tone and loud. Especially the older ones. The only good thing in that hospital are the midwifes Christine and Ulpu (birthing ward) who did their best to help me. This experience has left me with lasting trauma and contributed to postpartum depression and anxiety. Giving birth should be a moment of dignity, care, and compassion. For me, it was the opposite. I strongly urge other mothers to think carefully before choosing Zollikerberg Spital.
