Wir hatten eine rundum erfreuliche Erfahrung. Das Personal und der Gastgeber waren vom Moment unserer Ankunft außergewöhnlich herzlich und einladend. Das Essen war hervorragend – wunderschön zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Ich würde dieses Restaurant ohne zu zögern weiterempfehlen und freue mich darauf, wiederzukommen
Habe dieses Restaurant aufgrund der Bewertungen bei Google gefunden. Ich war wirklich beeindruckt und froh, dass wir das Abendessen hier reserviert haben. Hier im Restaurant war alles einwandfrei. Von den Vorspeisen über die Hauptgerichte bis hin zu den Getränken und den Dienstleistungen. Die Alpenkräutersuppe hat mich umgehauen, das Geschmacksprofil, die Ausgewogenheit, die visuelle Präsentation, die Auswahl der Zutaten, alles 10/10. Auch die Kürbissuppe hatte ihre eigene kulinarische Handschrift. Das Fleisch war perfekt zubereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen sind das Lammkarree und die Rindfleischgerichte. Wir können es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen und andere Gerichte zu probieren. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Kompliment an den Koch und das Team. Gut gemacht.
Wir hatten Glück, dass wir um 19:30 Uhr anriefen und um 20:00 Uhr einen schönen Fenstertisch bekamen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und insbesondere unser Kellner Joel war freundlich, aufmerksam und gab mit Begeisterung köstliche Empfehlungen weiter. Das Essen war allesamt künstlerisch angerichtet und schmeckte gleich gut. Insgesamt war es unser bestes Essen in der Schweiz. Insbesondere das Kabeljau-Special, die Forellen-Vorspeise und das Schokoladenkuchen-Special waren perfekt. Aber eigentlich hat jedes Gericht gut geschmeckt. Ich hoffe, dass auch Sie dieses schöne Restaurant genießen können!
Dinner reservations are required days in advance if you want a chance at eating here. We started off with the special appetizer of rabbit and a salad. Then for the meal we tried the white fish fillet and the local beef escalope. The sauce they used on the beef was a little bit salty for my taste. Both meals were good though. To finish I had a scoop of their homemade ice-cream and it was delicious! This place is pricey. Service was wonderful. The outdoor seating had a nice view of the mountains. Overall I would recommend this place if you want some fine dining and have some money to blow through.
Food here at Barren was great! 🍽️ We arrived without a reservation but were lucky enough to get a table. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly, which made the experience even better. I tried the smoked salmon pasta and it was amazing—the flavors were well-balanced and delicious. We were tempted to try their desserts since they all looked so good, but unfortunately, we were already too full. Also, a fun detail—their toilet has a chandelier! ✨ Such a unique touch. Definitely worth a visit!
Nicole and the rest of the staff were phenomenal! She went over and above, taking such good care of us, from recommending and serving amazing pre-dinner cocktails to guiding us toward the most incredible Swiss food!!! We had the stuffed chicken, carrot soup, pea soup, and the salad bowl, and all were unique and outstanding!!! Nicole continued to take care of us, helping us navigate our way home to another town on the trains/buses! What a wonderful overall dining experience! Fresh, fabulous food and innovative cocktails and impeccable service from the entire team! We will return!!!
