Spent a night here October 5th. Nice hotel with friendly staff and beautiful lake view. The staff is very approachable, considerate and helpful. The breakfast included is above par. Would definitely come back here when passing through or visiting Switzerland again.
Arriving between 4-5 PM, we found no staff on-site, just a code provided in the reservation to access our room keys. The room had a noticeable musty smell, but the bathrooms were far worse. We complained to the owner, who offered an apology but no solutions. Water was leaking from the bathroom light fixture, forcing us to drape towels over our heads while using the toilet. This place is not suitable for families with kids. We promptly relocated to Chalet du Lac next door for a better experience.
Sorry I can only publish regarding the view because I didn't get into the hotel but I was there outside for longtime for Lakeview since we visited iseltwald in October 2025. I see lot of boats around. Happy with the view and I want to experience lake view hotel but we booked room at Bellpark hostel Luzerne so we came from Luzerne to Interlaken and iseltwald from Interlaken. Interlaken to iseltwald - 15mns one way And we spent around 2 hours (1 hr walking along the side road of the lake ( and another hour just sitting near this hotel location. But I think can book Airbnb for 2 days and go to Interlaken, titlis and all other. Cost might be little high.
We loved this place. The views are fantastic and the rooms have nice size balconies. The included breakfast buffet is very substantial with many tasty choices from fresh baked breads and pastries, salmon, hams and salami, cheeses, fruits, …
The owner is super friendly and helpful. The room is a bit small but clean and has all the essential things. The view in front of the hotel is spectacular. We enjoy our stay🥰
Beautiful view and nice breakfasts, but absolutely no hospitality. Self check-in only, no staff around, and the owner ignores all messages — including when we forgot a very personal item in the room. He promised to respond but never did, just disappeared. What’s worse — I saw the owner replying to other reviews saying “contact us anytime and we’ll help”. That’s simply not true. We contacted him through every channel and got silence in return. Also, on the day of check-out, the water was shut off without warning — no shower, no toilet. Totally unacceptable. Great view can’t make up for this kind of attitude. Would not recommend.
