I can't comment on the hotel, as we stopped in for dinner. Our group had reservations for 10, and we were promptly seated at the back of the restaurant with other larger groups. Helena, our primary server, was an absolute gem...prompt, funny and helpful with any questions for our group. If you try only one thing on the menu, be sure to have the garlic soup. It's decadent! They also have a unique menu of traditional Swiss dishes, as well as pizza and burgers. The pizza was one of the best I've ever had anywhere! We'll definitely be back again during our trip.
There is a right and a wrong way to deal with things, and having the male owner scream at the leaders in the middle of the restaurant, for simply joining 3 tables together, with all the Scouts watching on, was extremely inappropriate.|As a …
The pizza was good with a fair price and the staff was very friendly. we ate rather late, therefore it was more a pub than a restaurant but we still enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved my time in Kandersteg! The room was basic just as expected. Incredibly clean. Friendly staff. Comfortable. Safe. Quiet. Great showers—spacious, individual sinks, towels, hair dryer, and also very clean! Great proximity to shops and restaurants. Would recommend!
Just recently stayed, I was only able to stay for one night but wish I could have stayed longer. We stayed in the dormitory and it was way above average. Very clean, great space, great shower/bathroom area, very nice and good owners/staff. And the breakfast included was very good and fresh. The location in the town was also very convenient only a 12 min walk away from the train station and a 17 min walk away from the entry to the lake. Would definitely stay here again or recommend it to a friend!
