We had a lovely lunch at Gipfel-Restaurant Rothorn. The food was surprisingly good and worth the wait. We arrived on the mountain during the lunch rush. I recommend going earlier in the day if you want less of a wait.
Beautiful view. There are not so many tables outside but we managed to grab one because we're... pushy. ;) Our waiter was quite attentive. We had some nice salad, rösti and pomme frits... what more could you want?
The food is overpriced. It’s not really bad, but way too bland and boring. Little choice and half of the stuff on the menu is not available when you ask for it. Disappointed
Meal doesn't match the event.... you have a beautiful train ride, you get to the top with a beautiful view... then the restaurant is beautiful renovated. But they serve cheap beach/fast food, dry schnitzel chips or sausage chips... the food was really disappointing
Arrived 15 mins before kitchen closing time according to the sign. Waiter was more interested in counting the receipts at the end of the day than picking orders. 25 mins or so later when someone did pick up the order of course they said the kitchen is closed. Great.
Surprisingly good burger. Very friendly staff despite the number of guest and busy lunch time. Recommended.
