Helvetia Versicherungen Generalagentur Thun — Bernstrasse 2a, 3600 Thun, Switzerland

My experience with Helvetia Insurance in Thun was simply disastrous. When I took out a car insurance policy, they advertised attractive one-time discounts. After a year, there was a massive premium increase of almost 40 percent. This makes Helvetia significantly more expensive than other providers like AXA or Baloise. To me, this approach seems like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic at the expense of customers. The original employee is no longer with the company. The responsibility now lies with the sales manager, Michael Wenger. But instead of answers or any form of customer service, I receive only silence. Several attempts to contact him by phone were unsuccessful. On January 6, 2026, I also sent Mr. Wenger an email with a read receipt. To this day, I have received no response whatsoever. No call, no reply, no explanation. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional for an insurance company. After this experience, I am certain: I will never take out another policy with Helvetia and cannot recommend this agency to anyone.

I haven't received a response in weeks. On the phone, they keep telling me to send an email, but then I never get a reply. Last summer, I had the contract amended, but even that didn't work. The main thing is that after two days, I get an automated email for a review, or, like last year, sweets because it took so long. And then they still haven't changed anything in the system... Maybe someone here will read my message? P.S. I don't need any more Baslerläckerli (a type of Swiss gingerbread), I just want to finally read the messages and change the contract ;-)
