Pésima experiencia con el irrespetuoso y discriminador dueño de este establecimiento. Durante el servicio de cena, uno de mis colegas usó el “tenedor” equivocado para su aperitivo y el dueño lo avergonzó públicamente al hacerlo frente a toda la mesa, negándose también a recoger el tenedor. Luego el dueño me preguntó qué había pedido para la cena. Lo confirmé y él me trajo el plato equivocado y me dijo que eso es todo lo que tienen. Profundamente insatisfecho, no toqué el plato y el dueño volvió a preguntar si la comida estaba bien. Le expliqué que esta no era la comida que pedí y el dueño pidió a la cocina que me trajeran 2 trozos de carne para compensar. Al traerme el plato, el dueño se adelantó a decir: aquí está tu carne, ahora otros clientes tienen que esperar la suya por tu culpa. Personalmente siento que su comportamiento fue muy inapropiado y estaba dirigido a nosotros ya que hablábamos en inglés pero no en alemán.
Si hubiera una estrella cero, la daría fácilmente. Esta fue la peor experiencia que he tenido al entrar a un restaurante. Reservamos una mesa un sábado por la noche para una ocasión especial a las 8:30 pm después de leer las críticas. Llegamos 20 minutos tarde porque tuvimos un problema con la llanta del auto. Además, no pudimos llamar y decir que llegaremos un poco tarde debido a que la ubicación del restaurante no había recepción. Nada más llegar fuimos agredidos verbalmente por la camarera, delante de todos los demás invitados, quien nos dijo que la cocina ya estaba cerrada y que eran las 8:50 pm! Después de quejarse mucho nos dijo que nos iba a hacer un favor y reabrir la cocina, mientras nos daba los menús empezó a quejarse nuevamente de por qué reservamos mesa si no vamos a llegar a tiempo y que no lo volvamos a hacer. Decidimos que no merecíamos un trato tan malo y nos fuimos. Recomendaría que el personal reciba formación sobre cómo tratar a los clientes. Al final tuvimos una muy buena cena en Wirtschaft zum Schöntal, Bauma, con comida increíble y excelentes habilidades de servicio, lo cual es muy recomendable.
Una experiencia absolutamente fabulosa fuera de lo común. La comida era increíble, demi-glace de compañero de casa, ensaladas y té helado. Altamente recomendado.

We went to eat at Sunnebad. I discovered the restaurant on a bike tour. I found it to be friendly and beautifully situated. What spoiled my enjoyment, however, were the right-wing populist tabloids displayed in the entrance area: Weltwoche, Nebelspalter, etc. I'm sorry, but I don't support that. I'll take another look on my next bike tour. If they're gone by then, I'll give Sunnebad a second chance. Now the owner responds by saying that the mainstream media are left-wing populist. He doesn't specify which ones he means. If he's referring to Tagesanzeiger, NZZ, or SRF, then the gulf for a reasonable discussion seems too wide. Generally speaking, I reject media and opinions that promote a divisive, misanthropic, and socially irresponsible stance. Now the owner responds by saying that the mainstream media are left-wing populist. Weltwoche and Nebelspalter represent anti-democratic journalism because: Division: They often employ an "us versus them" mentality, portraying minorities as a threat. Distortion and twisting of facts. Predominantly, unsubstantiated claims are presented as facts, and so-called laws are derived from them. Stirring up emotions and fear, particularly regarding migrants. They strongly appeal to anxieties (e.g., about migration, the decline of values). And, as the Sunnebad innkeeper himself does above, he delegitimizes established institutions such as media companies like Tamedia, NZZ, or SRF. An informed public is the essence of a vibrant democracy. I have nothing against right-wing populist publications being available, but if they are the only ones, then they represent a viewpoint that excludes many people, including myself and my friends and family.
