For me too, NetVOIP replaces ...... Skype! It was recommended to me by a family member with similar needs. It is a "peace of mind tool" that makes sure that I can make emergency calls even to swiss standard numbers from everywhere I am. I did not yet have the opportunity to use it from outside switzerland, but a few tests made in switzerland confirmed me that it works as expected.

After Skype was discontinued, I was stuck and didn't know how to cheaply call my credit card company, bank, and pension fund in Switzerland from Thailand.
