I wish I could write a glowing review of this lovely village, as it truly has many positives. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by unexpected and poorly communicated charges. Our booking paperwork from our travel agent made no mention of a cleaning fee. However, upon checkout, we were informed that we needed to pay 120 CHF (approximately double the cost in AUD) for cleaning — despite being instructed to clean the apartment and strip the beds before departure, which we did. We also had to make our own beds upon arrival. While this didn’t initially bother us, being charged a substantial cleaning fee afterward felt unreasonable and misleading. When we queried this, we were told that Expedia clearly states the cleaning fee. However, this was not reflected in our travel agent documentation, and when we attempted to make a new booking directly through Expedia to confirm this theory, we still could not find this information clearly stated. Additionally, we requested an extra roll of toilet paper during our stay, which never arrived, so we had to purchase our own. The radiators in our apartment also did not work effectively, requiring us to buy firewood to keep warm on a -10°C night. On a positive note, the water park was fantastic, and it’s easy to see why this is a family-friendly destination. However, the lack of transparency around additional costs significantly dampened our experience. We strongly recommend that any mandatory fees be clearly disclosed upfront at the time of booking so it can be paid in advance.
We had such a wonderful two days celebrating my son’s birthday at the resort! The pool and kids’ facilities were fantastic. The bedding could be improved, especially the pillows, as I didn’t sleep well for two days. However, the service, crew, and facilities still deserve a 5-star rating.
It was an amazing stay! There were two thrilling slides in the aquapark. There is a huge trampoline area called the “Superdome”, reccomended for families with children. We played tons of pool and bowling. They were both very enjoyable. The accomodation was nice and welcoming with soft beds and pillows. Also the room where we slept was spotless. There is also a VR experience where you could participate in tons of games like Pirate Cook (which we found the funniest game).
